Flex Assure operates two Codes of Conduct, each tailored to a different market. Together they cover the full range of UK flexibility services.
Flex Assure was established by the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) as a voluntary scheme for UK flexibility services providers.
Since then, the scheme has grown to cover both industrial and commercial and domestic markets, building a trusted framework that gives energy users confidence when engaging with flexibility providers.
Flex Assure is operated by Flex Assure Ltd., a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Registered in England and Wales, Company 11652552.
Four pillars ensure the scheme operates with transparency, accountability, and independence.
Board of Directors - oversees the Articles of Association, company policy, and finances of Flex Assure Limited.
The Committee - supervises the Flex Assure Codes and reviews Scheme Administrator activities; proposes modifications for Board approval.
Scheme Administrator - handles day-to-day operational duties, financial administration, IT, and communications.
Independent Auditing - external auditing services ensure all scheme members comply with the Codes of Conduct.
