Joining Flex Assure demonstrates your commitment to high standards in flexibility services. Here is what the application process involves.
The application process has four stages. Most providers complete it within a few weeks.
The application form includes your company details, which markets you operate in, and a self-assessment against the relevant Code of Conduct. It takes most providers around an hour to complete.
You will need to provide documentation alongside your form, including your Certificate of Incorporation, insurance, cyber security policy, and evidence of your sales and complaints processes.
Email your completed form and supporting documents to info@flexassure.org, or post them to our registered address. Our team will review everything and get back to you.
We review your declarations and evidence, and may ask for clarification on specific points. Once the review is complete, we will confirm the outcome and next steps for joining the scheme.
Alongside the completed form, please include the following documents with your application.
A copy of your company's certificate from Companies House.
Current insurance documentation covering your provision of flexibility services.
Your internal policy, plus any accreditation such as Cyber Essentials. Note: for domestic and microbusiness providers, a valid cyber security accreditation is required.
Training materials, employee records, or any details showing how your sales team is trained.
Evidence of your CRM or record-keeping system (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, PipeDrive). No customer data needed.
For I&C providers: your standard complaints procedure. For domestic providers: evidence of joining the Energy Ombudsman's ADR scheme.
Links to your website and active social media accounts (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.).
Company name, registration number, key contact, and role for any third parties involved in delivering your flexibility services.
The form asks you to declare your compliance across these areas. You can tick "yes" if you currently comply or can commit to complying by the time your membership begins.
